The Good News Five Things God Wants You to Know
1. You need to be saved from sin:
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23)
“Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3)
2. You cannot save yourself:
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy, He saved us.” (Titus 3:5)
3. Jesus provided for your salvation:
“Who (Jesus) Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live unto righteousness: by whose stripes you were healed.” (I Peter 2:24)
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
4. You must accept Jesus for salvation:
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved.” (Acts 16:31)
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become the children of God, to those who believe in His name.” (John 1:12)
“Nor is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
5. Now is the time to accept Jesus as Savior:
“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (II Corinthians 6:2)
My friend, don’t be deceived into thinking you are too good to need a Savior. Nicodemus, a good moral religious teacher, was told, “You must be born again.” John 3:7
Also, do not think you are too bad. To the woman caught in adultery, Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more.” John 8:11
It is clear from Scripture: God loves you; Christ died on the cross to pay for your sins. You can become a child of God now if you will honestly turn from sin to Christ for mercy and forgiveness. Will you accept Christ NOW?
